Role Summary
The Digital Services Technical Manager oversees a team responsible for the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of enterprise digital solutions. This senior leadership role involves guiding technological innovation, implementing modern software practices, and ensuring successful execution of complex digital transformation initiatives within a fast-paced environment. The position requires strategic oversight combined with hands-on technical expertise to drive efficiency, security, and reliability across multiple digital platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate a cross-functional team of software developers, SREs, automation engineers, and security experts to deliver high-impact digital solutions.
  • Drive the maturity and continuous delivery of critical enterprise applications leveraging DevSecOps methodologies.
  • Oversee technology transformation projects, including artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and emerging digital tools.
  • Develop and communicate technical strategies and responses to RFIs aligned with the organization’s roadmap and strategic goals.
  • Manage incident response processes, utilizing observability tools and metrics to troubleshoot issues, minimize impact, and prevent recurrence.
  • Establish standardized processes for monitoring, alerting, and incident management to improve operational efficiency.
  • Create and maintain documentation for incident events, root cause analysis, and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in Agile planning processes, contributing to continuous process and technology improvements.
  • Supervise workload and performance for internal teams and subcontractors, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Promote innovation by integrating new technologies such as AI, digital dashboards, and cloud-based tools into existing systems.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience leading technical teams in digital transformation, cloud, security, or related fields.
  • Extensive hands-on experience building and managing systems on AWS, including tools such as CloudWatch, OpenSearch, and EKS.
  • Proven expertise in DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, automation, security solutions, and infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Strong knowledge of containerization technologies, especially Kubernetes (AWS EKS) and Spring Boot applications.
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD, observability tools like Datadog, and real-time incident monitoring and diagnostics.
  • Coding proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Ability to support a 24/7 operational environment, including off-hours incident response and troubleshooting.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of clearly articulating technical concepts to diverse audiences and senior leadership.
  • This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. In accordance with federal law, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Relevant certifications, including AWS Solutions Architect Professional and AWS Certified Security – Specialty, are preferred.

Publishing Pay Range: $80.00 – $90.00 hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
