WebFocus Product Administrator
GDH Consulting is hiring a highly skilled and experienced WebFocus Product Administrator to join our team. This technical role requires a deep understanding of the WebFocus product, including starting and stopping services, configuration changes, and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a WebFocus environment running on a LINUX platform, including patching, change management, and incident resolution. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic 24x7x365 environment, with a requirement for flexibility to work days, some nights, and weekends for production changes. The role is critical for ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of our WebFocus product installations and configurations.
Responsibilities:
- Implement, support, and maintain the WebFocus environment for customers.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot issues related to the WebFocus product.
- Update trouble tickets and create change requests in support of the WebFocus product.
- Conduct technical deep dives and Root Cause Analysis as necessary.
- Perform system monitoring and health checks to ensure system integrity.
- Work collaboratively with technical teams for administration, configuration, and integration with COTS products.
- Plan and execute changes using documented processes, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Provide installation, optimization, and troubleshooting support for the WebFocus Product on Unix Operating Systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 8 years of experience, or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of the degree.
- Proven experience with the WebFocus services software, with at least 8 years of WebFocus Product Administration.
- Experience installing and configuring WebFocus on a Unix Operating System.
- Strong understanding of the Unix Operating System.
- Experience with production Web hosting environments is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a 24x7x365 environment, including nights and weekends for production changes.
- Flexibility to work in an on-call schedule.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance.
- Master’s degree and relevant certifications are a plus.
