Job Description:
Our client is hiring a highly motivated and skilled Application Developer specializing in Revenue Accounting to join our client's dynamic team. This role involves partnering with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and implement features and code, primarily supporting the Enterprise Upstream application with a focus on Revenue, Production, Land, Treasury, and LOS. The ideal candidate will assist business analysts in understanding application features to achieve their business goals and collaborate with Database Administrators to ensure optimal application performance. This full-time position is based on-site at our headquarters in Houston, Texas, and reports directly to the Supervisor of Corporate Applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, code, test, and deliver robust and insightful business solutions for highly complex projects.
  • Utilize development tools such as Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms and Reports, BI Publisher, and Oracle Workflow, Database Utilities to create impactful applications.
  • Create data conversions into the application that ensure data integrity and accuracy using EU and Oracle APIs in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Fulfill customer requirements according to project/enhancement specifications and optimize the EU application for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Design, develop, and customize EU modules (e.g., Revenue, Base, JVA, etc.) to meet business requirements.
  • Support activities related to acquisitions and divestitures, including data extractions, data mapping, conversions, interfaces, custom objects, and reporting.
  • Analyze system performance and implement tuning strategies, such as indexing and query optimization.
  • Perform periodic reviews of the application configurations and customizations to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the Oil and Gas industry, with extensive Oracle and P2/IFS experience.
  • Profound knowledge of P2/IFS Energy Solutions Enterprise Upstream, Enterprise Upstream Settlement, Partner Balancing, and Regulatory Experience preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Business Suite Release R12 and Oracle Database 19c and up.
  • Proficiency in SQL*Loader Utilities, AWR Reports, EXPLAIN PLAN, and TKPROF reports.
  • Experience with P2/IFS product interoperability with P2/IFS Procount, P2 Land, and other P2/IFS modules such as Base, JVA, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability in overall product/module integration experience with P2/IFS and Oracle system implementations & upgrades.
  • Strong Unix/Linux scripting and application management skills.
  • Ability to work onsite at the headquarters located in Houston, Texas.
