Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Jira Administrator to join their team. This role involves architecting and configuring a custom Jira Premium instance from scratch, aligning Jira capabilities with broader Quality Assurance, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and release management frameworks. The successful candidate will be responsible for building workflows, user groups, reporting structures, and test tracking capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and configure a custom Jira Premium instance to meet the specific needs of the organization.
  • Design and implement scalable workflows, user groups, and reporting structures within Jira.
  • Develop and maintain test tracking capabilities to enhance project management and reporting.
  • Align Jira's capabilities with broader organizational frameworks, including QA, CI/CD, and release management.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to integrate Jira with key data sources and delivery pipelines.
  • Translate complex business needs into effective demand signals and automation strategies within Jira.
  • Optimize Jira settings for maximum efficiency and customization according to project needs.

Qualifications:
  • Proven expert-level experience in Jira administration, including design, implementation, and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of Agile project management and software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Snowflake and Tableau.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools and release management frameworks, including Spring Boot, Docker, Selenium, and Maven.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance principles and automation testing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively across multiple departments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.


Pay Range: $45.00 – $50.00/hour

This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
