Marketing Specialist
Responsibilities
- Develop customer-focused marketing deliverables for client courses and exams including: course overviews, exam overviews, and external course-related web page copy.
- Ensure content is mechanically correct (spelling, punctuation, and grammar) and is consistent with Cisco-brand guidelines.
- Ideal candidate holds CCNA or DevNet Associate-level certification
- Create outbound product marketing deliverables and messaging which includes value proposition, competitive advantage, benefits, and descriptions used for major launches, certification revisions, courses releases and web updates.
- Understand business unit, portfolio and product-level strategies and align product marketing efforts with insights from portfolio management.
- Review and proofread marketing-related content for completeness, accuracy, appropriate language and form.
- Identify risk factors and work collaboratively with key stakeholders
- Excellent presentation skills including PowerPoint development
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, or Journalism preferred
- 5 years or more technical product marketing, and/or editing background
- Ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences including business and technical decision makers
- Project management expertise
- Ability to lead, collaborate, and work cross-functionally
- Initiative to self-manage, and represent Product Marketing organization
- Manage multiple priorities as an independent, self-starter within a rapidly evolving business
- Knowledge of Cisco brand language guidelines preferred
- Ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences including business and technical decision makers
