Network Engineer (CCNA)

Role Summary

This is an experienced, on-site technical support role focused on network and security infrastructure. The position involves providing expert guidance in network design, implementation, and support, with an emphasis on security devices, firewalls, and routing and switching. The role requires independent work, adaptability, and the ability to travel to ensure seamless network operations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive technical guidance in network and security design, implementation, and research.
• Assist with integrating equipment from multiple vendors to ensure continuous operations.
• Configure, install, and support network firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, routers, switches, and other security devices on-site.
• Maintain current certifications such as CCNA or CCNP, with a focus on Routing & Switching; additional certifications in Cyber Ops, Data Center, or Service Provider support are highly desirable.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, managing a variety of tasks and adapting to shifting priorities.
• Travel by car for site visits; travel to neighboring islands may be required with reimbursement for airfare, car rental, and parking.
• Access organizational support and resources, including network connectivity, workspace, and necessary equipment such as laptops and cellphones.
• Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of network maintenance and upgrades.

Qualifications

• Current certifications such as CCNA or CCNP in Routing & Switching; additional certifications in Cyber Ops, Data Center, or Service Provider support are considered a plus.
• Proven experience in network and security device configuration, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to changing demands.
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to other islands as needed.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and technical expertise in network infrastructure.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, when necessary.
• Access to organizational support resources, including a suitable workspace and necessary technical equipment.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and stakeholders.
• Prior experience supporting network security devices, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems is preferred.

Publishing Pay Range: $46.00 – $48.00 Hourly

This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
