Join our team as a Tester II and play a key role in assuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software solutions designed to detect and prevent fraud, waste, and abuse within government-sponsored health programs. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design testing strategies that ensure thorough coverage of all features and functionalities.
- Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools; work proactively with developers to resolve issues efficiently.
- Perform root cause analysis on defects and provide detailed testing reports, including test results, coverage metrics, and defect analysis.
- Utilize performance testing tools such as JMeter to assess software scalability and responsiveness under varying loads.
- Integrate automated testing solutions into the CI/CD pipeline, working alongside DevSecOps engineers to streamline deployment workflows.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, providing updates on testing progress and challenges.
- Continuously refine testing processes by adopting new tools, strategies, and best practices to enhance overall testing efficiency.
- Ensure all testing activities adhere to project timelines and deliverables, supporting smooth and timely software releases.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance within complex IT environments.
- Extensive hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, and Cucumber.
- Strong proficiency in Java, RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and related technologies like Spring Boot, SOAP UI, Postman, ActiveMQ, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Angular and React.
- Proven experience with version control (GitHub), CI/CD tools (Jenkins), and system monitoring solutions (Grafana, Splunk, CloudWatch).
- Solid understanding of SQL, scripting languages (Python, Bash), Linux, and AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, EKS, RDS).
- Knowledge of database systems such as PostgreSQL and Oracle, and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
- Experience with security testing practices and tools; familiarity with healthcare regulatory standards such as HIPAA is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and have lived in the United States for at least 3 of the past 5 years.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
Preferred Credentials and Education:
- Certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE are highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with healthcare IT standards and processes is a plus.
- SAFe Agile Certification is preferred.
Compensation:
$38.00 – $42.00 hourly
