Position Overview:
In this critical role, you will design, develop, configure, and maintain advanced ServiceNow applications to streamline IT Service Management (ITSM) processes across multiple MES modules. Your expertise will enable efficient incident, change, release, and problem management workflows, contributing to the success of large-scale IT modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and customize ServiceNow applications, including forms, workflows, business rules, client scripts, and UI policies, ensuring they meet business requirements.
- Design and implement automation, integrations, and workflows that optimize incident, problem, change, release, and service catalog processes within the ITSM ecosystem.
- Collaborate with module contractors, product owners, and enterprise teams to deliver seamless, scalable solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve ServiceNow platform issues, providing timely support to ensure high system availability and performance.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of workflows, configurations, and solutions, supporting ongoing maintenance and future enhancements.
- Participate in testing, code reviews, and deployment activities to uphold quality standards and project deadlines.
- Stay current with ServiceNow platform developments, incorporating best practices and new features to continually improve system efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3-5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience within ITSM environments.
- Strong proficiency in ServiceNow development including forms, workflows, business rules, and scripting.
- In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM modules: Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Service Catalog, CMDB, Knowledge Management, and Event Monitoring.
- Experience with ServiceNow Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and custom application development is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve platform issues efficiently.
- Deep understanding of ITIL v4 principles and practices.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Experience & Certifications:
- Certified ServiceNow System Administrator (CSA), Implementation Specialist (CIS – ITSM), and Application Developer (CAD).
- Additional certifications such as ITIL 4 Foundation, ServiceNow Technical Architect, or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) are a plus.
- Experience working in government IT projects or large enterprise environments.
- Prior involvement with Agile development methodologies and supporting government modernization initiatives.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
- Equivalent work experience (10+ years) may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Additional coursework or certifications in IT Service Management, Software Engineering, or Enterprise Architecture are advantageous.
Publishing Pay Rate: $47.00 – $50.00 Hourly
