Business Analyst
Our client is embarking on a comprehensive multi-year modernization project aimed at transitioning from legacy systems to a state-of-the-art, integrated platform. The experienced Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting the successful delivery of this complex transformation.
About the Role
As a key member of the team, you will collaborate closely with vendors, program stakeholders, and the Project Management Office (PMO). Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing, reviewing, and ensuring that vendor artifacts and solutions align with contractual requirements and business needs. You will act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and understanding throughout all phases of project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Oversight & Compliance: Monitor and verify that vendor activities—development, configuration, and operational tasks—meet contractual obligations and standards.
- Artifact Review & Approval: Evaluate project artifacts, system designs, and documentation produced by multiple vendors, providing constructive feedback or approval to maintain quality and alignment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a trusted point of contact for diverse stakeholders, including executives, subject matter experts, and vendor representatives. Communicate requirements, status updates, and issues effectively.
- Requirements Management: Gather, analyze, and document business needs; assist in refining processes and ensuring solutions meet organizational goals.
- Project Lifecycle Support: Facilitate all project phases, including planning, development, testing, and implementation, supporting various project management methodologies.
- Vendor Coordination: Work with multiple vendors and cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, resolving conflicts, and managing deliverables.
- Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: Assist with CMS reporting and certification processes to ensure compliance with federal mandates and industry standards.
- Issue Resolution & Risk Management: Identify variances, abnormal activities, or project risks; report and collaborate on mitigation strategies.
- Documentation & Communication: Maintain thorough documentation of project artifacts, communications, and action items. Prepare reports and deliver presentations as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- Min. 7 years of proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst with a focus on business process modeling and management (minimum 3 years in this area).
- At least 5 years of domain knowledge in MMIS, Medicare, Medicaid, or major healthcare payers.
- 2+ years managing multi-vendor project environments.
- Expertise in reviewing and approving complex artifacts.
- Proficiency with Visio, MS Project, Office 365, Webex/Teams.
- Strong knowledge of project management and software development lifecycle.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-priority setting.
Preferred:
- Over 10 years of senior-level Business Analyst experience.
- Extensive experience in large, multi-contractor healthcare projects.
- Advanced skills in technical writing and documentation.
- Strong leadership in matrixed or centralized team environments.
- Additional experience with SharePoint and other Microsoft Office tools.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration,
