We’re looking for an experienced Omnissa Horizon Deployment Engineer to lead the deployment and management of cutting-edge virtual desktop environments across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Deployment & Optimization: Assess existing infrastructure to meet Horizon virtual desktop requirements. Configure hardware, virtual networks, subnets, and integrate security systems, including privileged access management, to ensure a secure environment.
  • VMware vSphere & UCS Management: Verify and configure ESXi hosts on UCS servers, deploy vCenter Server Appliances, and set up management clusters with DRS and HA for optimal resource utilization. Implement vSphere distributed switches, VLAN configurations, and enable vMotion.
  • Horizon Environment Deployment: Install and configure Windows Server VMs, Horizon Connection Server, Edge Gateway, load balancing, and certificates. Develop Horizon policies, synchronize with Active Directory, and set up event databases.
  • Advanced Virtualization Components: Deploy Nvidia GRID license appliances, configure fault tolerance and licensing, install Nvidia VIBs on ESXi hosts, and set up App Volumes and Unified Access Gateway for secure remote access.
  • User Profile & Identity Management: Implement Microsoft FSLogix and Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM) for user profile management. Prepare Active Directory OUs and GPOs, migrate, and optimize virtual desktop base images.
  • Horizon Pools & Cloud Architecture: Create and manage Horizon Instant Clone desktop pools. Deploy and configure Cloud Pod architecture, initialize multiple pods, and establish global entitlements for seamless user access.
  • Testing, Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Conduct Acceptance Testing Procedures (ATP), gather stakeholder sign-off, and deliver comprehensive knowledge transfer sessions to ensure operational readiness.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
  • Proven track record in deploying and managing VMware vSphere and Horizon environments.
  • Strong expertise in virtualization, security integration, and Active Directory.
  • Hands-on experience with Nvidia GRID, Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM), and Microsoft FSLogix.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Industry certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified, or similar.
  • Experience with Pure Storage solutions and Cisco UCS servers.
  • Knowledge of load balancing techniques and certificate management best practices.

Publishing Pay Range: $70.00 – $80.00 USD Hourly
