A mid-level ACI Engineer position responsible for the design, deployment, and management of Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) environments. The role involves configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing network components to ensure a resilient, scalable, and efficient data center network infrastructure. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives, develop technical documentation, and deliver knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Configure, manage, and optimize Cisco ACI fabric components, including port provisioning, tenant setup, and network policies.
- Utilize ACI GUI, APIC, and Postman to perform configuration tasks, testing, and system documentation updates.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, such as Visio diagrams, runbooks, MOP templates, and Confluence knowledge bases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve ACI-related network issues promptly, supporting incidents and change requests for customers.
- Support proactive network management by implementing best practices in ACI operations and fault reduction.
- Design and deliver internal training sessions to educate team members on ACI architecture, management, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Contribute to strategic planning, including ACI roadmap development and long-term infrastructure initiatives.
- Collaborate with network architects to recommend and implement automation solutions, capacity planning, and network improvements.
- Assist in developing technical guides, white papers, and process documentation to facilitate ongoing knowledge sharing.
- Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance ACI deployment methodologies and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience working with Cisco ACI or comparable data center networking technologies.
- Extensive knowledge of ACI fabric concepts, including tenants, application profiles, EPGs, and contracts.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco APIC, ACI GUI, and automation tools such as Postman.
- Proven ability to create, review, and maintain detailed technical documentation and network diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex network issues efficiently.
- Cisco certifications such as CCNP Data Center, CCIE Data Center, or Cisco ACI Specialist are preferred.
- Familiarity with automation scripting using Python, Ansible, or REST APIs is a plus.
- Experience in delivering technical training and knowledge transfer sessions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Publishing Pay Range: $60.00 – $65.00 Hourly
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
