We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative AI Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and deploying cutting-edge AI solutions that enhance our requirements engineering and test automation processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of AI technology, utilizing tools like Visual Studio Code, Python, and Copilot AI to create impactful automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of AI-driven tools and programs to automate requirements gathering and test case creation, leveraging large language models (LLMs) and generative AI technologies.
  • Collaborate with Requirements and Test Automation teams to identify high-priority use cases for AI integration and automation.
  • Develop prototypes and pilots of AI-enabled solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs and technical feasibility.
  • Integrate AI solutions seamlessly into existing test automation frameworks and software systems, ensuring full executability on postal laptops.
  • Create comprehensive documentation, including guidance, best practices, and toolkits, to facilitate effective adoption and use of AI tools across teams.
  • Provide technical mentorship to team members, training them on AI tool usage, scripting, and maintenance.
  • Review and supervise AI-related work produced by colleagues, ensuring quality and adherence to standards.
  • Stay current with advancements in AI and machine learning, proposing innovative solutions and process improvements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support project success.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of professional experience in AI development within a software or technology environment.
  • Proven expertise in programming with Visual Studio Code, Python, and AI tools such as Copilot.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and maintain AI solutions that address complex requirements and automation challenges.
  • Experience working with large language models and generative AI applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred.
Location: Headquarters in Washington, D.C., with flexible telework options (up to 1 day per week)

Publishing Pay Range: $45.00 – $50. 00 Hourly
