Seeking a proactive and technically skilled System Administrator to support a 24/7 operational facility dedicated to maintaining the security and stability of critical IT infrastructure. The role involves managing, maintaining, and optimizing servers, operating systems, virtualization environments, and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills, security expertise, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment requiring shift work and continuous monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain Windows and Linux server environments to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Implement, configure, and support virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Manage Active Directory domains, user accounts, and permissions.
  • Monitor system performance and health using tools such as SolarWinds and other enterprise monitoring solutions.
  • Develop and execute scripts in PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting languages to automate maintenance tasks.
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues, including hardware, software, and network-related problems.
  • Apply security best practices to safeguard enterprise systems and ensure compliance with security protocols.
  • Support enterprise applications and troubleshoot related issues as they arise.
  • Coordinate with team members to maintain continuous system operations across shifts.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and audit purposes.

Qualifications

  • Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • Security+ certification or higher security credentials.
  • At least 3+ years of experience in system administration or related IT roles.
  • Proven proficiency in managing Windows and Linux servers, virtualization, and enterprise applications.
  • Strong knowledge of system security protocols, troubleshooting, and monitoring tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a 24/7 operational environment, including shift scheduling.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

Publishing Pay Range: $36.00 – $38.00 Hourly 
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
