We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Systems Engineer to lead enterprise-level systems deployment, optimization, and support. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, Install, and Maintain Infrastructure
    Lead the deployment, configuration, and upgrade of enterprise infrastructure applications, virtualization platforms, and Windows operating systems to ensure optimal performance and security.

  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting
    Continuously monitor system health, conduct testing to anticipate potential failures, and recommend or implement preventative measures. Provide swift and effective resolution of complex hardware and software issues.

  • Documentation and Compliance
    Develop and maintain detailed infrastructure documentation, including system configurations and procedures, ensuring adherence to internal standards and best practices.

  • Technical Leadership and Mentorship
    Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support, guiding junior team members and fostering a collaborative team environment. Lead projects related to virtualization, server hardware upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.

  • Virtualization and Hardware Expertise
    Install, upgrade, and support virtualization software and hardware hypervisors, with a focus on VMware environments and physical server infrastructure.

  • Cross-Department Collaboration
    Act as a technical liaison across departments, translating complex technical concepts into understandable guidance, and fostering cooperative relationships to support organizational goals.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Educational Background:
    Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field combined with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on systems administration experience. Alternatively, 5+ years of relevant experience emphasizing virtualization and physical hardware management.

  • Technical Proficiency:

    • Advanced knowledge of Windows Server OS administration and best practices
    • Strong expertise in virtualization (VMware preferred) and hypervisors
    • Experience with server hardware, storage solutions, Active Directory, and blade enclosures
    • Familiarity with networking concepts and multiple operating systems
  • Professional Skills:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
    • Proven ability to lead projects and guide team members effectively
    • Strong problem-solving skills with a creative approach to technical challenges
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment
    • Sound judgment and decision-making with a focus on continuous improvement
Publishing Pay Range: $70.00 – $74.00 Hourly
