This remote Azure Analyst position involves managing and optimizing cloud resources within a government Azure environment. The role is responsible for ensuring the security, performance, and availability of key Azure services, including Azure Front Door, Imperva Web Application Firewall (WAF), and Key Vault. It also includes providing training and knowledge transfer to internal staff to promote effective system management and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and optimize Azure resources such as Azure Front Door, Imperva WAF, and Key Vault to support critical application environments.
  • Monitor infrastructure health, identify issues proactively, and implement solutions to enhance system reliability.
  • Enforce security policies and industry best practices within Microsoft Azure Gov Cloud environments.
  • Conduct regular security audits and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with the Alabama Office of Information Technology (OIT) to align Azure strategies with state-wide IT initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between DHR and OIT on Azure-related projects and issues.
  • Deliver hands-on training sessions on Azure resources to internal staff, enabling their self-sufficiency.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation, guides, and training materials for system management and troubleshooting.
  • Support long-term system stability by keeping abreast of Azure updates, best practices, and security enhancements.
  • Provide ongoing technical support and advice to DHR teams in managing Azure cloud services.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing Microsoft Azure resources, including Azure Front Door, Imperva WAF, and Key Vault.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Gov Cloud environments and related security practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills focused on cloud system performance and security.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working collaboratively with government agencies or within regulated environments.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
  • Availability to engage in a long-term contract on a full-time basis.
  • Prior experience providing technical training, mentorship, or knowledge transfer.
  • Professional Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert are preferred.

Publishing Pay Range: $70.00 – $90.00 Hourly
This position is based in a remote work environment and can be performed from an approved location.
