This quality inspection role involves overseeing incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards. The position requires technical expertise in non-destructive testing and support for manufacturing teams to maintain high-quality outputs. It is suitable for candidates with experience in welding inspection and quality control processes who can contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and document incoming, in-process, and final product inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Support the quality department by planning, executing, and following up on Magnetic Testing, Dye Penetrant, and CR Film Interpretation.
  • Establish and generate non-conformity reports when discrepancies are identified.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to maintaining inspection records, databases, reports, and files supporting QA/QC functions.
  • Ensure calibration and conformity of tools and instruments in accordance with ISO procedures and QA/QC guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Manager to identify and suggest improvements for processes, equipment, and tools.
  • Control and quarantine non-conforming products to prevent further processing.
  • Maintain and archive technical data, codes, and standards to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Provide technical assistance on defect detection, acceptance, and rejection criteria to manufacturing teams.
  • Perform nondestructive testing (NDE) controls and interpret results to ensure product integrity.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in welding process inspection or welding as a welder.
  • Prior experience in Quality Control or related inspection roles.
  • Knowledge of machine design, machining processes, technical drawings, and QC activities.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technical tools such as 3D arm, PMI, OES devices.
  • Certification in MT, PT, and RFI is required or obtainable during employment.
  • Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to work under stress.
  • Detail-oriented with accuracy, reliability, and a rigorous approach to inspection tasks.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and a proactive attitude toward process improvements.
  • Ability to obtain necessary certifications.
  • Available to work in a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote locations.

Publishing Pay Range: $18.00 – $24.00 Hourly

This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
