Role Summary
A Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP System Administrator is responsible for leading the management, optimization, and strategic development of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. This senior-level position involves overseeing the administration, security, and performance of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations environments, with a focus on finance, supply chain, and operational modules. The role requires strong technical leadership, cloud platform expertise, and deep understanding of business processes to ensure high system availability, security compliance, and continuous improvement across the ERP ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations environments across development, testing, and production stages.
  • Architect and manage ERP infrastructure utilizing Microsoft Azure cloud services for scalability, security, and performance optimization.
  • Integrate and administer Microsoft 365 services, including identity, security, and collaboration tools, with Dynamics ERP systems.
  • Oversee the Universal Development Environment (UDE) for streamlined development, testing, and deployment workflows.
  • Define and enforce governance, security policies, and compliance standards for ERP and cloud platforms.
  • Collaborate with finance, supply chain, and operational leadership to optimize ERP workflows and system utilization.
  • Support core modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fixed Assets, Procurement, Inventory, and Manufacturing.
  • Conduct system performance tuning, monitoring, capacity planning, and lead upgrades, patches, and data migrations.
  • Manage integrations with external systems and APIs, ensuring data consistency and system reliability.
  • Lead disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity plans; mentor junior administrators and liaise with development teams and vendors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7–10+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP systems, especially Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
  • Extensive experience in administering enterprise ERP environments at a senior level.
  • Proven expertise with Universal Development Environment (UDE).
  • Mandatory experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and Microsoft 365 platform (identity, security, infrastructure, and integration).
  • Strong knowledge of financial and operational business processes, including supply chain, procurement, and manufacturing.
  • Experience designing role-based security models and ensuring compliance with governance standards.
  • Skilled in system integrations, data management, and API-based architecture.
  • Advanced troubleshooting, system performance tuning, and capacity planning skills.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications such as Dynamics 365 F&O, Azure Administrator, or Microsoft 365 Certified preferred.
  • Familiarity with Lifecycle Services (LCS), Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and release management.
  • Working knowledge of X++, reporting tools like Power BI and SSRS, and enterprise security regulations (e.g., SOX, GDPR).

Publishing Pay Range: $50.00 – $65.00 Hourly
• This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
