Role Summary
This quality inspector role is focused on ensuring that products meet established standards and specifications throughout the production and new product introduction (NPI) processes. The position involves detailed inspection, measurement, testing, verification, and documentation of materials, components, and finished goods. It requires a high level of attention to detail and adherence to industry regulations to maintain product quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify quality standards.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and prints to determine critical measurements and inspection points.
  • Apply company procedures and accept/reject criteria consistently to inspection results.
  • Identify, document, and communicate defects or deviations from specifications to relevant teams.
  • Prepare comprehensive inspection reports and maintain accurate records of inspection findings.
  • Generate Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR) for nonconforming items, including reporting, tracking, and communication to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct particle counts in cleanroom environments and other designated areas.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and management teams to address issues identified during inspection processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and safety protocols throughout inspection activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality assurance and inspection procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school diploma; associate degree preferred.
  • At least 2+ years of experience performing incoming inspection (IQA) on raw materials such as wafers, PCBs, components, and mechanical parts.
  • 2+ years of experience in a high-tech or electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with inspection tools such as optical microscopes, digital microscopes, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), and other relevant inspection equipment.
  • Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) and AQL sampling plans.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for data management and reporting.
  • Understanding of industry standards and ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Certifications such as IPC certification are a plus.
  • Must be eligible to work in the required location; candidates should meet all working rights stipulations.
  • Familiarity with particle counting, cleanroom procedures, and inspection processes is advantageous.

Publishing Pay Range: $33.00 – $35.00 Hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
