Role Summary
This on-site enterprise architecture specialist role involves supporting a dedicated team in designing, developing, and evaluating proof-of-concept solutions that improve enterprise architecture artifacts and business process models. The position requires translating operational and architectural requirements into authoritative products to facilitate decision-making and ensure regulatory compliance. The role entails producing high-quality documentation, supporting configuration activities, and performing complex system analysis within a dynamic federal government environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and evaluation of proof-of-concept solutions to enhance enterprise architecture artifacts and business models.
  • Translate mission, operational, and architectural requirements into authoritative enterprise architecture products.
  • Prepare and maintain defect reports, track corrective actions, and report on test activities and outcomes.
  • Analyze and validate architectural, process, and system integration issues impacting enterprise systems and data exchange.
  • Produce and deliver professional documentation, briefings, and analytical reports using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Lead configuration management and change control activities to maintain architectural integrity and compliance with governance standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project deliverables align with enterprise architecture standards and strategic goals.
  • Support system validation activities through rigorous testing and quality assurance processes.
  • Assist in developing enterprise strategies, technical standards, and future cloud integration efforts.
  • Engage in documentation and process modeling using BPM tools such as Visio, contributing to process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. In accordance with federal law, U.S. citizenship is required (Active Secret Security Clearance or higher).
  • IAM Level I certification or higher (e.g., Security+).
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in systems architecture or business process mapping.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex architectural and integration issues.
  • Experience supporting enterprise architecture projects within government or military environments preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills suitable for engaging at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt in ambiguous, fast-paced settings.
  • Demonstrated experience with configuration management and change control processes.
  • Proficiency in modeling tools such as Visio or equivalent BPM software.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of leading moderate complexity analysis sessions.

Publishing Pay Range: $50.00 – 53.00 hourly

This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
