Role Summary
This role involves developing and optimizing data analytics solutions by working with large datasets and advanced SQL queries. The focus is on leveraging Vertica for data management, utilizing MicroStrategy for reporting, and creating scalable data pipelines on cloud platforms. Responsibilities
- Write, tune, and optimize SQL queries on Vertica to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.
- Work with large datasets to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Utilize MicroStrategy fundamentals, including attributes, facts, and hierarchies, to develop effective reports.
- Translate complex technical data outputs into simple, insightful visualizations and summaries.
- Optimize MicroStrategy reports for improved performance and scalability.
- Create and maintain data pipelines using cloud-based platforms for automated data integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data workflows, reports, and dashboards.
- Document data processes and report configurations for ongoing maintenance and future enhancements.
- Stay updated on new tools and techniques for data analytics, reporting, and cloud data management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with SQL, especially in Vertica or similar analytical databases.
- Familiarity with MicroStrategy platform, including developers, web, and workstation applications.
- Experience working with large datasets and optimizing query performance.
- Knowledge of cloud data platforms and creating data pipelines.
- Understanding of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or related platforms (preferred).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate technical data into clear visual insights.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote collaboration with on-site presence.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Availability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Publishing Pay Range: $60.00 – $65.00 hourly
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
