Role Summary
The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for leading the design, analysis, and execution of electrical power distribution projects. This role involves managing project scopes, budgets, and schedules while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external resources. The engineer will act as a discipline lead on projects, contributing to all phases from inception through construction completion.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of complete electrical power distribution design and specification packages in compliance with industry standards.
  • Prepare and review detailed project documentation, ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • Conduct and interpret experiments, analysis, and modeling using software such as ETAP, EasyPower, or SKM.
  • Coordinate project tasks with engineers, designers, contractors, and vendors to ensure deliverables meet project requirements.
  • Manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules while supporting proposal development and funding efforts.
  • Provide technical guidance on electrical layout, equipment specification, grounding studies, and protection and coordination analysis.
  • Attend project meetings, present technical aspects of assignments, and interact with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects adhere to industry standards, including IEEE, NEC, and NESC regulations.
  • Support safety initiatives and uphold the company's ethical standards in all activities.
  • Assist in developing engineering solutions for complex projects, ensuring innovative and efficient approaches.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering; MS degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensing preferred or FE with the goal to obtain PE within one year.
  • Minimum of 6 years related engineering experience, with a focus on industrial power distribution.
  • Proven success in medium voltage utility tie-ins and low voltage facility distribution, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of IEEE, NEC, and NESC standards.
  • Experience managing electrical projects, including monitoring budgets and coordinating deliverables.
  • Proficiency with electrical design software such as ETAP, EasyPower, or SKM.
  • Ability to read and interpret project schedules via MS Project or Primavera.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime and travel as required.

Publishing Pay Range: $173,000 – $183,000 annually
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
