Role Summary
This position involves serving as the primary technical SME for the Workday platform within an enterprise environment. The role encompasses managing platform configuration, security, integrations, and release management to ensure secure, efficient, and compliant operation. Collaborating closely with functional and technical teams, the individual will support system enhancements, oversee updates, and maintain platform integrity across multiple modules and business units.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main technical SME for the Workday platform, ensuring system stability, security, and operational health.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and cybersecurity teams to ensure platform security, performance, and adherence to enterprise standards.
- Manage tenant environments, including production, sandbox, and testing environments, maintaining separation of duties and access controls.
- Evaluate and implement system configuration changes, ensuring alignment with best practices to support scalability and user experience.
- Document system configurations, security settings, business processes, and operational procedures for audit readiness and knowledge transfer.
- Oversee Workday release cycles, including testing, impact analysis, and deployment planning to minimize operational disruptions.
- Coordinate and monitor integrations with internal and external systems, troubleshooting issues and ensuring data integrity.
- Provide technical guidance on platform capabilities, limitations, and long-term impacts of configuration decisions to stakeholders.
- Support reporting and analytics initiatives by ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistent use across modules.
- Assist with audits and compliance activities, including access reviews, segregation of duties assessments, and regulatory documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Five or more years of experience supporting or managing the Workday platform in an enterprise setting.
- Workday Pro Platform Administrator Certification required.
- Hands-on experience with at least one full Workday implementation or major deployment, including tenant setup and security design.
- Proven experience supporting Workday modules such as HCM, Financials, and Spend Management.
- Knowledge of Workday security concepts, release management, and integration frameworks (EIBs, APIs, middleware).
- Experience supporting SaaS platforms in regulated environments, including audits and compliance documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple requests and coordinate release activities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a security-first mindset.
Publishing Pay Range: $115,000.00 – $140,000.00 Annually
This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
