Role Summary
This senior-level position involves providing specialized support within a highly secure, round-the-clock production environment focused on thin client and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) endpoint reliability. The role requires managing and troubleshooting virtual desktop delivery platforms, ensuring continuous endpoint access and performance. It is suited for a technical professional with extensive experience in thin client systems, virtualization platforms, and operational stability.

Responsibilities

  • Support IGEL OS and eLux thin client devices used to deliver virtual desktops and published applications.
  • Manage thin client images, firmware, and profiles via IGEL UMS or eLux Scout platforms.
  • Troubleshoot VDI session, authentication, and performance issues across Citrix, VMware Horizon, and RDS environments.
  • Maintain fleet stability and ensure reliable endpoint access in a production setting.
  • Participate in a 24×7 on-call rotation to support critical system operations.
  • Coordinate firmware updates, image rollouts, and environment stabilization efforts.
  • Document platform standards, configurations, and operational procedures for internal reference.
  • Collaborate with VDI, networking, and security teams to enhance endpoint reliability and security.
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols and operational discipline within a regulated environment.
  • Monitor, analyze, and resolve endpoint and VDI issues promptly to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience supporting thin client or VDI endpoint environments in enterprise settings.
  • Hands-on experience with IGEL OS and/or eLux thin client platforms.
  • Proven ability to manage thin client images, firmware, and profiles via IGEL UMS or eLux Scout.
  • Strong knowledge of VDI delivery platforms such as Citrix, VMware Horizon, or RDS.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills related to VDI sessions, authentication, and system performance.
  • Ability to work effectively within a 24×7 on-call rotation supporting critical systems.
  • Demonstrated security awareness and operational discipline in large-scale, regulated environments.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, enterprise IT environments with a focus on endpoint stability.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Available to work in a on-site environment.

Publishing Pay Range: $70.13 – $78.46 hourly

This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
