Role Summary
This on-site position focuses on the development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of generative and agentic AI applications. The role involves working closely with AI leadership to build and support AI infrastructure, including system architecture, model integration, and operational stability. It requires a strong technical background in AI development, system administration, and security compliance within a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and test agentic AI applications using Python as the primary programming language.
  • Assist with the development of system architecture for AI solutions.
  • Build and maintain MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers for AI application integration.
  • Create and support additional AI applications as directed by AI leadership.
  • Deploy, operate, and maintain AI applications within Docker containerized environments in production settings.
  • Support the deployment and maintenance of Large Language Models (LLMs) using vLLM in Docker environments.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Open WebUI instances and configurations.
  • Provide ongoing operational support to ensure stability and performance of AI applications.
  • Develop documentation and training materials for end-users and facilitate in-person or recorded training sessions.
  • Assist with maintaining Alabama Medicaid AI knowledge bases used for Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).
  • Support server administration activities related to AI servers and deployments, including monitoring system health.
  • Collaborate with the security team to review code and Docker images for vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with HIPAA and security policies.
  • Participate in agile team activities, maintain version control, and support other AI-related tasks as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in AI application development, especially with Python in a production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Docker, containerization, and deployment of AI solutions.
  • Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and associated frameworks such as vLLM.
  • Familiarity with server administration, system monitoring, and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data privacy regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Ability to collaborate with security teams to review and address vulnerabilities.
  • Strong documentation skills and experience delivering training sessions.
  • Availability for an on-site work schedule.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.Proficiency with version control tools such as Git and Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to support multiple technical tasks within an agile development environment.

Publishing Pay Range: $55.00 – $65.00 Hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
