Role Summary
This role involves the decommissioning and removal of laboratory equipment, racks, and cabling within a test environment. It requires meticulous handling of assets, inventory documenting, and adherence to safety protocols. The position offers an opportunity to work on-site in a dynamic environment focused on equipment disposal and lab cleanup activities.

Responsibilities

  • Uninstall and dismantle lab equipment from test bays and staging areas, including bolting and removing 2-post and 4-post racks.
  • Assist with removing cabinets and preparing equipment for internal disposal workflows.
  • Identify, trace, and safely remove unused or abandoned cabling from the raised floor (plenum) space, working systematically row-by-row.
  • Separate inactive cabling from active systems without disrupting live operations.
  • Place decommissioned equipment onto pallets for client asset disposal processes.
  • Assist with tracking serial numbers and inventory of assets, targeting up to 100 assets per month.
  • Remove unused peripheral equipment, cardboard boxes, and other debris from the lab floor, storing items on pallets.
  • Document cleanup activities, including before-and-after photos and written reports on assets slated for disposal.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout the decommissioning process.
  • Follow safety and lab access protocols, and complete all Jira ticket assignments with proper follow-up.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in equipment decommissioning, lab cleanup, or asset disposal preferred.
  • Ability to work accurately with serial number tracking and basic inventory management.
  • Comfortable handling cabling, racks, and small equipment components.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to follow safety procedures and lab protocols.
  • Must be available to work on-site in the designated location.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills for documentation and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Jira or similar ticketing systems is a plus.
  • Legal right to work in the specified country.

Publishing Pay Range: $20.00 – $25.00 USD Hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
