A data product analyst is needed to join an enterprise data team focused on supporting the replacement of a fraud case management system. This is a highly analytical role centered on data sourcing, lineage, and requirements, with an emphasis on developing and supporting data products. The analyst will work collaboratively with IT and data engineering teams to ensure data quality, clarity, and readiness for deployment in cloud environments, primarily AWS.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-depth SQL analysis across large and complex datasets, serving as an SME in data querying and analysis.
  • Analyze source systems, document data sourcing, lineage, and data transformation processes.
  • Develop and maintain source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, and metadata documentation.
  • Define data structure and quality standards for data landing zones in AWS.
  • Identify, document, and resolve data quality issues, applying data quality rules and monitoring their effectiveness.
  • Prepare detailed requirements and technical artifacts to enable data engineers to develop data pipelines.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations based on comprehensive analysis.
  • Collaborate effectively within Agile/Scrum teams to align project goals and deliverables.
  • Partner with IT and data engineering teams to ensure data is high quality and properly structured for production use.
  • Support the ongoing improvement of data processes, standards, and best practices within the team.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in SQL with experience supporting large-scale data projects.
  • Hands-on experience working with cloud platforms, with AWS expertise strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to support data analysis within an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative, curious, and accountable work ethic.
  • Experience partnering with IT teams and data engineers to deliver data solutions.
  • Ability to analyze and document data sourcing, lineage, and transformation processes.
  • Knowledge of data quality principles and practices.
  • Relevant experience in banking, finance, healthcare, or risk-related data domains is a plus.
  • Familiarity with fraud or risk data preferred.
  • Availability to work in a hybrid schedule, with a mix of in-office and remote work.

Publishing Pay Range: $80.00 – $90.00 Hourly 

This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
