Finance Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished Finance Manager to join our growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide critical financial leadership and insight to facilitate informed decision-making and organizational growth.

About the Role

As a Finance Manager, you will serve as a trusted partner to senior leadership, program managers, and external stakeholders. You will oversee financial planning, reporting, and analysis for high-profile programs, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements, regulatory standards, and company objectives. Your expertise will directly contribute to our mission of transforming government IT through innovative financial strategies and disciplined fiscal management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with program teams to deliver insightful financial analysis and guidance that enhances program performance and identifies new opportunities for growth and efficiency.
  • Prepare and present accurate, timely financial reports including Profit & Loss statements, trend and variance analyses, and monthly briefings for both internal stakeholders and government clients.
  • Manage the program’s monthly rolling forecasts and annual budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and contractual obligations.
  • Support contract management activities such as pricing exercises, including ROMs, Option Year evaluations, and contract reprice strategies.
  • Oversee subcontractor spend, funding allocations, and vendor invoice processing, ensuring compliance and financial integrity.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to optimize financial workflows, productivity, and cost control.
  • Supervise the program’s month-end close activities—including cost accruals, revenue recognition, and expense reviews—to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Partner with Accounting, Contracts, Procurement, and other back-office functions to streamline operations and enforce best practices across financial transactions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; 8+ years of progressive financial management experience, preferably within government contracting.
  • Deep understanding of FAR, CAS, GAAP, and other federal acquisition regulations.
  • Proven expertise in financial planning, analysis, and cadence development.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and financial modeling.
  • Strong leadership skills paired with excellent communication abilities; adept at translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Critical thinker with creative problem-solving skills and an analytically driven mindset.
  • Ability to interpret and synthesize data from various sources, balancing internal and external stakeholder needs.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint or similar accounting systems.
  • Knowledge of TM1 Forecasting software and Cognos reporting tools.
  • Background working on large-scale cost-type government contracts, especially within DoD environments.

Compensation Range: $65.00 – $70.00 Hourly
