Role Summary
This position is a senior-level IT Architect responsible for leading complex data architecture projects within an enterprise environment. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing large-scale data solutions that align with organizational strategies and security requirements. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical leader, collaborating with both technical teams and stakeholders to optimize data workflows and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide data architecture solutions, including data lakes, data warehouses, and cloud-based platforms.
- Develop and document current state context diagrams and data flow diagrams to understand existing data processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address data-related pain points, translating business needs into technical requirements.
- Define high-level data requirements and work with cross-functional teams to elicit detailed data specifications.
- Design target state data architecture aligned with enterprise data strategy, ensuring compliance with information security standards.
- Create and maintain data models, database schemas, and data integration workflows to support large data volumes.
- Oversee and optimize ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines for efficiency and scalability.
- Lead the integration of new data platforms and emerging technologies, ensuring smooth implementation and adoption.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to data engineers, analysts, and other team members.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and project success.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in designing, developing, and managing large-scale data architectures, including data lakes, warehouses, and cloud environments.
- Extensive experience with designing complex, cross-domain data models and integrating diverse data sources.
- Proven expertise in cloud data platforms, particularly AWS S3, Iceberg, and related AWS services.
- Experience with Snowflake and Databricks is advantageous.
- Demonstrated success in leading data architecture projects and collaborating with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence decision-making across organizational levels.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and guide team members on technical best practices.
- Availability to work on-site at the designated location.
Publishing Pay Range: $70.00 to $79.11 Hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
