This position involves performing all standard Defense Travel Administrator (DTA) functions to support mission-critical operational requirements. The role requires handling authorization reviews, voucher processing, and building organizational hierarchies within a fast-paced, high-stress environment. The individual must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to efficiently manage workload surges while ensuring mission coverage and compliance with applicable policies.

Responsibilities

  • Execute all standard DTA functions, including authorization and voucher reviews, building Line of Accounting (LOA), and constructing organizational hierarchies.
  • Provide daily support to maintain mission requirements, ensuring 100% task completion during staff absences or workload spikes.
  • Manage internal task distribution to meet Acceptable Quality Levels (AQLs) and processing deadlines as per Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP).
  • Serve as Tier 2 technical authority for complex DTS issues, including organizational hierarchy management and troubleshooting routing lists.
  • Coordinate with USARCENT G8 to ensure accurate input, reconciliation, and management of Lines of Accounting.
  • Lead the Phase-Out Transition Plan, documenting SOPs and workflows for the incoming contractor.
  • Act as the primary interface for Government Technical Direction, providing regular status updates to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
  • Oversee automated document approval systems, adjusting routing personnel and permissions based on staffing changes or deployments.
  • Provide comprehensive reports and audit trails to facilitate financial reconciliation with GFEBS and other systems.
  • Maintain advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, briefings, and training material development, and uphold expert knowledge of the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).

Qualifications

  • Prior experience with DTA functions, DTS, and related travel and financial systems.
  • Knowledge of DOD policies, specifically Army-specific regulations, and JTR compliance.
  • Ability to perform accurately in a high-stress, fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordination with government personnel and stakeholders.
  • Security clearance or the ability to obtain classified access, including classified secret handling and PII protection.
  • Availability to work on-site at the designated location.
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing workflows and staffing configurations.
  • Mid- to high-level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Publishing Pay Range: $45.21 – $50.35 Hourly 

This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
