Are you a creative and detail-oriented design professional seeking an opportunity to lead impactful projects? We are looking for an experienced Designer V to bring vision, precision, and leadership to our design initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will oversee complex design projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive innovative solutions that shape infrastructure and urban development.
What You Will Do:
- Lead the conceptualization and development of advanced design projects, ensuring alignment with client specifications and organizational standards.
- Utilize industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Skyline, ArcGIS Pro, and other relevant tools to produce detailed, accurate, and comprehensive mapping and drafting documents.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, GIS, surveying, and project management teams to gather data, refine designs, and ensure project cohesion.
- Manage and update design databases, ensuring data consistency, integrity, and easy access for stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to enhance design workflows through process improvements and implement best practices to boost efficiency and quality.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and development.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions effectively to clients and internal teams, ensuring transparency and proactive problem-solving.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Design, Surveying, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil design, surveying, or related disciplines, with a strong background in pipeline or infrastructure projects.
- Proven mastery of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Skyline, ArcGIS Pro, and other GIS and mapping software.
- Extensive experience in pipeline surveying, drafting, and mapping techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects concurrently, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in implementing process improvements and standardization within design workflows.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficiency in GIS database management and integration.
- Familiarity with municipal permitting, regulatory compliance, and project documentation standards.
Pay Rate: $50.00 – $55.00 Hourly
