As a Manual and Automation Tester in Business Support, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of backend systems. In this dynamic role, you'll perform rigorous manual and automated testing, verify system integrity through SQL queries and service responses, and work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance process efficiency and customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will have opportunities to develop your leadership skills by acting as a Scrum Master, facilitating agile ceremonies, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute comprehensive manual testing procedures, including verification of test conditions, validation of data updates via UI, and checking service responses using tools such as Postman and SoapUI.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust automation test scripts and frameworks (e.g., UFT), aimed at improving testing efficiency, reducing costs, and minimizing errors.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues by creating detailed defect reports to facilitate quick resolution and quality enhancement.
- Support and lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies as a Scrum Master backup, including daily standups, sprint planning, and release management.
- Maintain and update system documentation, including procedures, release notes, and process protocols to ensure compliance and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to execute data updates through UI and perform validation checks to uphold high standards of quality.
- Research and troubleshoot ad hoc support questions, providing timely and effective resolutions to support business continuity.
- Promote a collaborative environment by working closely with Solutions Architects, Product Owners, Developers, and management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in software development or technology, with at least 2 years dedicated to manual and automated testing.
- Proven expertise in designing clear test plans, test cases, and scenarios using tools such as HP ALM or similar.
- Proficiency in running manual tests and recognizing opportunities to incorporate automation to streamline testing processes.
- Hands-on experience building and utilizing test automation scripts and frameworks (UFT preferred).
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, web services, and verification tools including Postman and SoapUI.
- Working proficiency in SQL: writing queries, manipulating data, and troubleshooting database-related issues.
- Familiarity with DevOps and Agile methodologies, including tools such as VersionOne or equivalent task management platforms.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to stakeholders.
- Ability to generate comprehensive defect reports that clearly articulate issues for development teams.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices, SDLC, and scripting languages such as PLSQL is a plus.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with DevSecOps, Playwright, JMeter, AML
- Familiarity with secure coding practices, SDLC best practices, and PLSQL programming
- Knowledge of tools like JIRA, Scrum, and other work management platforms.
