Role Summary
This position requires an experienced cloud infrastructure engineer. The role involves deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud environments in Azure and AWS, with a focus on infrastructure automation, security, and scalability. The candidate will support both cloud and on premise Kubernetes clusters and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure robust and efficient systems.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and manage Azure and AWS landing zones, control towers, guard rails, and related cloud infrastructure components.
  • Implement best practices for cloud security, networking, and infrastructure management, emphasizing scalability, observability, and site reliability.
  • Automate deployment processes and infrastructure provisioning using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and other DevOps practices.
  • Support the development and ongoing management of Azure and AWS tenants, subscriptions, and networking architectures.
  • Manage on premise Kubernetes clusters, including provisioning, performance tuning, and security configuration.
  • Investigate and resolve incidents affecting cloud and on premise platforms, performing root cause analysis when needed.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform remediation to ensure continuous platform availability.
  • Collaborate with product teams, DBAs, developers, and SREs to optimize infrastructure costs and improve system resilience.
  • Document architecture, configurations, and operational procedures, presenting recommendations for platform improvements.
  • Assist in designing and implementing high-availability solutions, disaster recovery, and data backup strategies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with AWS and Azure cloud platforms, with relevant certifications or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in application deployment automation, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code.
  • 5+ years’ experience administering Linux-based systems.
  • 3+ years’ experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Salt, and Terraform.
  • Extensive knowledge of Azure DevOps and cloud architecture best practices.
  • Proven experience designing redundant, scalable, and highly available systems, including disaster recovery and data backup strategies.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills, capable of effectively conveying technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in core IT infrastructure technologies, including virtualization, networking, and storage management.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Publishing Pay Range: $75.00 – $77.00 hourly

This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
