Role Summary
This remote Project Manager role oversees the end-to-end delivery of critical infrastructure and network projects within enterprise environments. The position involves managing complex initiatives related to networking, data centers, and security, requiring coordination across diverse technical teams and stakeholders. Candidates will ensure projects are completed on time, within scope and budget, while maintaining compliance and security standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of infrastructure and network projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Manage projects involving enterprise network operations, including routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, and data center connectivity.
  • Oversee initiatives utilizing Cisco, Arista, and F5 products and solutions to support enterprise networking requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including network engineers, security personnel, system administrators, vendors, and partners.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project documentation such as project plans, schedules, risk registers, and status reports.
  • Identify potential project risks, technical dependencies, and operational impacts, implementing mitigation strategies accordingly.
  • Manage change management activities, including outage planning, maintenance windows, and rollback procedures.
  • Ensure all projects comply with security policies, regulatory frameworks, and industry standards.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and milestones effectively to technical teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Support audits, documentation, and accreditation efforts to maintain compliance and operational integrity.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager supporting IT infrastructure and network operations.
  • Proven track record managing projects involving Cisco routing, switching, and firewalls, Arista data center networking, and F5 load balancing solutions.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise network components including LAN/WAN, VPNs, DNS, and load balancing.
  • Experience managing projects within operational or 24×7 network environments.
  • Active U.S. security clearance at the Secret, Top Secret, or higher level.
  • Prior experience working in regulated or secure environments such as government, defense, healthcare, or finance.
  • Proficiency with project management tools like MS Project, Jira, or Smartsheet.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or similar) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of cloud and hybrid architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and security frameworks (NIST, RMF, ISO 27001) is advantageous.
  • Experience supporting data center modernization, network refreshes, or large-scale migrations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Publishing Pay Range: $60.00 – $65.00 USD Hourly

This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
