Join our dynamic team as a QA Tester III, supporting critical defense projects with a focus on system integration testing.  This remote role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in software testing, automation, and system analysis within a high-stakes environment that directly contributes to national defense and emergency preparedness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute repeatable testing procedures and comprehensive test plans, including functional, regression, deployment, and scenario-based testing.
  • Develop, modify, and maintain automated test scripts to simulate user interactions, data entry, and system behaviors, enhancing testing efficiency.
  • Verify complex triggers, stored procedures, referential integrity, and hardware specifications to ensure system reliability.
  • Analyze and interpret code snippets in languages such as C/C++, C#, Perl, SQL, and batch files, making modifications as necessary for testing purposes.
  • Run Build Verification Tests (BVTs), troubleshoot issues, and document findings thoroughly.
  • Maintain familiarity with .NET and SML frameworks to support diverse testing environments.
  • Produce detailed test reports, track testing metrics, and ensure all testing activities align with organizational processes and standards.
  • Collaborate with development and support teams to identify issues and facilitate timely resolutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; industry experience in software or system testing highly preferred.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in software testing, preferably in web-based or Windows client/server environments.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, C/C++, SQL, or equivalent, with the ability to read and write code for automation and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience developing and executing test scripts, automation frameworks, and defect tracking.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, quality assurance practices, and testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with database administration and Microsoft products is required; knowledge of internet protocols and networking fundamentals is a plus.
  • Excellent project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple testing cycles and deadlines.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and modify code as needed to support testing activities.
Publishing Pay Range: $30.00 – $31.00 hourly
