As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be a key player in maintaining and enhancing critical operations. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, contractors, and technical teams to ensure system requirements align with federal standards and agency goals. While this position is not directly involved in the system transition project, it will adapt as the modernization journey progresses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Analysis & Documentation: Review, comment on, and ensure completeness of user manuals, system documentation, change requests, design specifications, and test results.
  • Contract & Quality Oversight: Monitor contractor activities, verify compliance with contract terms, and facilitate contract-related reporting.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison among business units, contractors, and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and project transparency.
  • Operational and System Support: Track deliverables, manage operational activities, and oversee system change processes to deliver a seamless user experience.
  • Testing & Release Management: Oversee testing efforts, validate results, and coordinate system releases aligned with project timelines.
  • Policy & Compliance: Develop policies and procedures, manage federal reporting requirements, and ensure adherence to standards such as MITA, CMS, the Cures Act, and HITECH.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Minimum of 7 years as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years in requirements development and management.
  • At least 5 years of experience with MMIS, Medicare, Medicaid, or healthcare payers.
  • 2 years in contract monitoring or RFP development.
  • Strong understanding of project management frameworks and SDLC.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, adept at engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven experience working independently and managing multiple priorities.
  • Competency in SharePoint, Office 365, Webex/Teams, and virtual collaborative tools.

Preferred:

  • Over 10 years as a Senior Business Analyst, with comprehensive requirements expertise.
  • Experience in federal/state healthcare agencies.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project.
  • Technical writing experience and familiarity with federal compliance reporting.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Publishing Pay Range: $45.00 – $50.00 Hourly
