Position Overview:
Join our team as a Senior Database Architect specializing in TSSA (TrueSight Server Automation), where you'll lead the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced database architectures aligned with enterprise automation initiatives. This is an exceptional opportunity to influence critical infrastructure utilizing cutting-edge automation and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architecture & Integration: Design and deploy scalable, secure, and high-performance database solutions integrated with BMC TSSA to streamline enterprise automation efforts.
  • Platform Upgrades & Migrations: Lead complex database platform upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning across Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL environments, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  • Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain sophisticated automation frameworks using TSSA, NSH, PowerShell, Python, and Bash to automate patch management, compliance audits, and remediation processes.
  • Patch & Compliance Management: Oversee enterprise-wide patching strategies, ensuring all database systems meet strict security standards and compliance requirements of DoD and USCG.
  • Workflow Integration: Incorporate database automation into TSSA workflows, DevOps pipelines, and CI/CD processes to accelerate deployment cycles and improve operational resilience.
  • Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for complex database and TSSA-related issues impacting system availability, security, and compliance.
  • Documentation & Standards: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database architectures, automation procedures, and operational protocols to ensure consistency and best practices.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with senior management and technical stakeholders to align database and automation initiatives with strategic organizational goals and security policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • Experience: 12+ years of experience in database architecture, integration, and administration, with at least 5 years directly working with enterprise database platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and BMC TSSA automation tools.
  • Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance required.
  • Certifications: DoD 8570 IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+). Highly preferred: OCP, Microsoft Azure DB, AWS Certified Database Specialty.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, NSH, Python, PowerShell, Bash.
    • Deep knowledge of database patching, compliance, and security standards aligned with DoD/USCG policies.
    • Skilled in managing Windows and Linux environments.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Experience supporting DoD or U.S. Coast Guard operations.
    • Cloud database solutions including AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL.
    • Familiarity with DevOps practices and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.

Pay Range: $78.00 – $80.00 Hourly
