Join our team as a Senior F5 Engineer and play a pivotal role in ensuring the high availability, security, and scalability of mission-critical applications across diverse infrastructure environments. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead advanced application delivery projects, optimize hybrid cloud architectures, and drive automation initiatives in a collaborative, innovative setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and fine-tune F5 BIG-IP solutions, including LTM, GTM/DNS, ASM, and APM modules, across both production and development environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Lead the automation of configuration management and deployment processes using tools such as Python, Ansible, and Terraform, promoting consistency and operational excellence.
  • Develop custom iRules and iApps to support advanced application delivery logic, integrations, and security policies tailored to enterprise needs.
  • Collaborate with security teams to enforce policies, manage SSL certificates, and integrate F5 appliances with identity and access management systems such as Okta and Azure AD.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Layer 4–7 traffic and application issues utilizing F5 diagnostics, packet captures, and log analysis.
  • Integrate F5 solutions within hybrid and multi-cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP, aligning with company cloud strategies.
  • Manage the lifecycle of F5 devices through firmware updates, patches, hardware refreshes, and performance tuning.
  • Create comprehensive documentation, runbooks, and operational standards to support global support teams and ensure continuous operational stability.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing best practices in automation, security, and application delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience managing and engineering F5 BIG-IP systems within large enterprise settings.
  • Expertise in F5 modules: LTM, GTM/DNS, ASM, and APM.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills with Python, Bash, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Deep understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, SSL, VLANs, and routing.
  • Proven experience with integrating F5 solutions into cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and other proxy solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot multi-layer traffic and application delivery challenges.
  • Effective communicator with stellar documentation skills, comfortable working within a global, cross-functional team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as an F5 Certified Technology Specialist (LTM, ASM, APM, or GTM).
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and API gateway integrations.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes ingress controllers, NGINX+, and other ADC technologies.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or engineering workloads in high-availability environments.
  • Previous engagement with Fortune 500 or semiconductor enterprises is a plus.
Publishing Pay Rate: $100.00 – $110.00 Hourly
