Join us as a Software Deployment Lead and play a vital role in deploying critical medical systems across the Joint Operational Medicine Information Systems (JOMIS). This is an exceptional opportunity to lead large-scale deployments that directly enhance operational medical capabilities in deployed and field environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Deployment Coordination: Act as the primary contractor liaising with Leadership to develop and execute enterprise-wide deployment strategies, including sequencing and prioritization across multiple Services.
- Collaborative Planning: Lead regular cross-team planning sessions, facilitate unified deployment approaches, and resolve scheduling conflicts to ensure seamless execution across all Service Deployment Leads.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with senior government officials and enterprise IT teams (such as J6) to align cross-service priorities, address technical and operational challenges, and promote stakeholder buy-in.
- Site Readiness and Deployment Execution: Oversee the preparation of deployment sites, track approvals, ensure technical readiness, and coordinate deployment events for successful system introductions and stabilization in operational settings.
- Program Reporting & Governance: Provide comprehensive weekly updates, executive briefings, and planning materials, ensuring accountability and transparency across deployment activities.
- Risk Management & Quality Assurance: Proactively identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, escalate issues when necessary, and maintain high standards for deployment quality and consistency.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience supporting or leading software/system deployments, with a focus on complex program implementations in operational or enterprise environments.
- Proven track record managing end-to-end deployment processes, from planning and execution to sustainment.
- Experience working with military, defense civilian, or federal agencies is highly preferred.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical teams, including services, enterprise IT (J6), and operational users.
- Excellent program management skills, capable of balancing multiple priorities, dependencies, and schedules effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to produce clear reports, briefings, and presentations for leadership audiences.
