A mid-level Database Analyst responsible for designing, developing, testing, and managing complex ETL processes sourced from diverse internal and external systems. This role supports multiple business functions including Manufacturing, Distribution, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Human Resources. The analyst will leverage advanced Power BI skills, data warehouse concepts, and BI reporting tools to deliver high-quality, intuitive data solutions that meet organizational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
  • Maintain and optimize Power BI datasets, reports, dashboards, and visualizations for accuracy and performance.
  • Manage Power BI administration, deployment, and security to ensure reliable access and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions aligned with their informational needs.
  • Develop and maintain data warehouse structures, including star schemas, snowflake schemas, data marts, and operational data stores.
  • Participate in evaluating and recommending new BI and data modeling technologies.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to team members, enhancing overall BI capabilities across the organization.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with internal teams, external vendors, and partners to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Create high-level project plans, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of quality results.
  • Assist in designing and developing visual reports, charts, graphs, and dashboards to support organizational insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience working with Microsoft Power BI, SQL Server Database, SSIS, and SSRS.
  • Proven experience designing and managing ETL processes and data warehouse structures.
  • Advanced knowledge of Power BI administration, development, and deployment.
  • Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts such as star and snowflake schemas, operational data stores, and data marts.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality projects on schedule.
  • Experience working with relational databases and BI reporting tools.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to act as a Subject Matter Expert and mentor within the BI space.
  • Availability for a hybrid work schedule, with time split between office and remote work.

Publishing Pay Range: $40.00 – $52.00 Hourly
