Role Summary
This role involves supporting the design, implementation, and ongoing management of secure enterprise network environments with a focus on Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) and network security. The position requires a thorough understanding of network segmentation, policy enforcement, and secure connectivity within complex, large-scale networks. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal network performance and security through configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
- Configure and support Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) environments, including tenants, VRFs, bridge domains, endpoint groups, and contracts.
- Design and implement network segmentation strategies within ACI to enhance security and scalability.
- Manage and maintain Cisco Firepower Threat Defense platforms, including rule creation and policy enforcement.
- Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, access controls, and rules to protect network assets.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, security, and performance issues across Layer 2 and Layer 3 components.
- Monitor the health of network and security infrastructure, analyzing logs, alerts, and security events to identify potential threats.
- Support incident response, investigations, and remediation activities related to network security incidents.
- Assist with vulnerability assessments and implement remediation efforts to strengthen network defenses.
- Maintain accurate documentation of security procedures, network configurations, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet operational and security requirements, ensuring adherence to best practices.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI).
- Proven experience managing Cisco Firepower Threat Defense platforms.
- Familiarity with Cisco Nexus switching platforms and NX-OS.
- Strong understanding of routing, switching, and network security concepts.
- Experience troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues.
- Solid knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement security policies and access controls.
- Familiarity with incident response, vulnerability management, and security threat mitigation.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
- Previous experience working in Cisco enterprise network environments.
Publishing Pay Range: $39.72 – $41.09 hourly
• This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
