Role Summary

A senior-level Computer Systems Engineer/Architect responsible for leading the imaging and deployment lifecycle within an enterprise environment. This role involves managing and optimizing automation processes for device provisioning, ensuring security compliance, and supporting organizational growth through scalable deployment solutions. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives, facilitate seamless migrations to new deployment workflows, and provide technical leadership within a high-functioning IT team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the migration of existing Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) imaging processes to AutoPilot, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
  • Develop and implement standardized device imaging workflows using AutoPilot, maintaining configuration consistency and compliance standards.
  • Automate device provisioning tasks using AutoPilot, Intune, and PowerShell scripting to streamline deployment and reduce manual intervention.
  • Configure and support AutoPilot profiles, enrollment processes, and automation workflows for Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices.
  • Manage and support a co-management environment that integrates MECM and Intune for unified device management.
  • Ensure all deployed images and devices meet security policies, including encryption, conditional access, and compliance requirements.
  • Utilize Intune reporting and monitoring tools to track deployment progress, manage device compliance, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and diagrams related to imaging and deployment processes.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Tier 3 engineering staff, fostering continuous process improvements and operational efficiency.
  • Stay informed on the latest updates and features in AutoPilot, Intune, and related Microsoft deployment tools to leverage new capabilities for organizational benefit.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in imaging, deployment, and enterprise device management; bachelor’s degree is not required.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM).
  • Proven expertise with Microsoft AutoPilot for Windows device deployment and provisioning, including profile and enrollment configuration.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems, deployment techniques, and customization options.
  • Experience supporting co-management environments integrating MECM and Microsoft Intune.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation, customization, and troubleshooting deployment tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex imaging and deployment issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired must verify their identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.   • Ability to pass a federal background check and currently hold a Public Trust clearance.

Publishing Pay Range: $50.00 – $59.00 USD Hourly

This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
