As an Electrical Engineer III, you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and optimizing electrical systems that support essential operations such as pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and enhancement of electrical and power distribution systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Oversee the integration of cutting-edge technologies including automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage solutions to optimize system performance and reduce operational costs.
- Develop and enforce robust safety protocols, including arc flash mitigation and fault detection systems, safeguarding personnel and infrastructure.
- Provide expert technical guidance on electrical system schematics, layouts, and system architecture for new developments and upgrades.
- Manage end-to-end engineering projects, from conceptual design through project execution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, budgets, and timelines.
- Ensure all electrical systems and project activities comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer and business needs.
- Support procurement processes, vendor selection, and commissioning activities for electrical equipment and systems.
- Participate in troubleshooting, testing, and startup activities to validate equipment performance and adherence to specifications.
- Continually evaluate emerging technologies and industry practices to advocate for improvements and technological advancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience in natural gas, data centers, or related industries.
- Proven proficiency in electrical design, power analysis tools (ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, Simulink), and electrical codes (NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE).
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with a safety-first mindset.
- Experience with PLCs, HMI systems, and instrumentation is advantageous.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities and familiarity with Pre-FEED, FEED, EPC processes.
