Role Summary

A mid-level network engineer is sought to support manufacturing and infrastructure projects within a large enterprise environment. This role involves supporting wireless deployment, LAN/WAN support, and site-level implementation tasks under the guidance of senior engineering staff. The position requires hands-on experience with network devices, troubleshooting, and deployment activities, focusing on ensuring reliable connectivity and network performance across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

  • Support deployment and optimization of enterprise and manufacturing Wi-Fi environments utilizing Cisco Catalyst Wireless platforms
  • Assist with the installation and configuration of wireless access points, including Wi-Fi 6, 6E, and 7 in high-density settings
  • Troubleshoot wireless connectivity issues, including roaming, onboarding, and coverage gaps
  • Support Layer 2 network operations such as switch provisioning, stacking, patching (fiber/copper), and hardware refresh activities
  • Assist with Layer 3 support tasks including routing protocols like EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP
  • Execute network device refresh tasks, including installation and configuration of switches and infrastructure components
  • Use Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA Center) for device provisioning, basic troubleshooting, and inventory management
  • Maintain network documentation and ensure adherence to configuration standards
  • Collaborate with project teams and site personnel to support network deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities
  • Support network upgrades and infrastructure projects alongside senior engineering resources

Qualifications

  • CCNA certification or equivalent hands-on experience in enterprise network environments (preferred)
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and switching
  • Experience deploying or supporting Cisco wireless environments (Wi-Fi 6/6E/7)
  • Knowledge of Wi-Fi concepts such as coverage, onboarding, roaming, and interference management
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst switches, VLANs, trunking, and basic switch configuration
  • Familiarity with LAN infrastructure including cabling, patching, and hardware installation
  • Basic understanding of routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) and Layer 3 support skills
  • Exposure to Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA Center) or similar network management tools
  • Ability to support network deployments, upgrades, and hardware refresh projects
  • Capacity to follow implementation plans and work within change control procedures
  • Availability for on-site work in a manufacturing or enterprise environment

Publishing Pay Range: $42.00 – $45.00 hourly

This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
