Role Summary

This fully remote full-stack development and data engineering role involves designing, developing, and optimizing web and database solutions to support mission-critical applications within a federal background investigation program. Candidates will leverage extensive experience in software development, SQL, and UI design to deliver scalable technical solutions in an Agile environment. The position requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, comprehensive documentation, and adherence to security and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop web applications and database solutions based on specifications provided by stakeholders or software teams.
  • Create, modify, and test code, scripts, and forms to ensure proper application functionality.
  • Conduct testing, validations, and trial runs to verify accuracy and performance of developed solutions.
  • Maintain, update, and enhance existing programs to improve efficiency and accommodate evolving requirements.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Document data lineage, processes, and technical specifications for transparency and compliance purposes.
  • Develop advanced T-SQL queries, including stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
  • Support reporting frameworks using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), including dataset design.
  • Develop data storage, retrieval, and integration solutions, ensuring system interoperability.
  • Provide troubleshooting, issue resolution, and recommendations for system improvements in partnership with technical and business teams.

Qualifications

  • This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. In accordance with federal law, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven experience supporting and developing web-based applications with a focus on full-stack development.
  • Extensive experience (7+ years) with Angular, Microsoft .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, and Visual Studio.
  • Strong expertise (5+ years) in SQL Server, including creating complex queries, stored procedures, and database design.
  • Proficiency with UI technologies such as Bootstrap UI, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery.
  • Experience with cloud development is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft DevOps for workload planning and management.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills for custom software and databases.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated leadership, analytical thinking, and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.

Publishing Pay Range: $49.00 – $54.00 hourly

This is a fully remote role and can be performed from any approved location within the United States.
