Role Summary
The Securities Services Operations Specialist I is responsible for supporting transactional processing for Wealth Management accounts using trust and bond accounting systems. This entry-level position involves managing securities setups, trade execution and settlement, foreign currency exchanges, valuations, and reconciliations. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams, external vendors, and brokers to ensure accurate account reflection and compliance with reporting standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform timely and accurate processing of all security transactions within policy guidelines
- Reconcile daily activity between depositories and accounting systems to prevent discrepancies and financial losses
- Facilitate the movement of funds domestically and internationally, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Develop and implement process improvements while maintaining strong controls to mitigate risk
- Utilize securities processing knowledge and system tools to define, measure, analyze, and enhance processing workflows
- Resolve complex discrepancies promptly, minimizing potential losses to clients and the bank
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and internal reporting by providing accurate data and resolving issues
- Participate in trust and bond account conversions, project meetings, and user groups to contribute to process enhancements
- Document reports and procedures and assist in testing to support daily operations and strategic initiatives
- Collaborate proactively with teams to identify solutions and resources for project and exception handling
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1 to 4 years of experience in securities operations or a similar high-volume environment preferred
- Strong proficiency in PC applications and operating systems
- Excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills; capable of managing large transaction volumes
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly
- Knowledge of securities processing systems and Wealth Management accounting principles
- Familiarity with reconciliation practices, trust and bond accounting is advantageous
- Proven ability to solve complex problems independently and meet strict deadlines
- Ability to improve processes and track complex activities efficiently
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Publishing Pay Range: $28.00 to $31.64 hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
