Role Summary
This senior-level position involves leading the migration and management of application performance monitoring (APM) components across different platforms. The role focuses on implementing, validating, and supporting technical solutions to enhance enterprise application performance. It requires collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless migration and system upgrades within a structured project environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the migration of application performance monitoring (APM) from AppDynamics to Dynatrace for enterprise applications and infrastructure components.
- Develop and maintain architectural artifacts that capture and model enterprise system and network connections.
- Integrate and align current or future business capabilities into architecture solutions.
- Partner with the Design Engineering team to create detailed implementation, validation, and back-out plans for all project phases.
- Provide technical support during application and infrastructure performance evolution, including deployment, configuration, and validation activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-level issues related to APM systems within defined SLAs.
- Collaborate in the design and implementation of complex enterprise software solutions.
- Support lifecycle management tasks such as system upgrades, releases, and production changes.
- Document technical procedures, validation criteria, and back-out strategies to ensure smooth project execution.
- Coordinate with diverse teams across multiple time zones to ensure delivery deadlines and quality standards are met.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years supporting AppDynamics or Dynatrace environments.
- Strong experience in application and systems performance management, analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Proven ability to deploy and configure complex enterprise software solutions.
- Solid understanding of Linux, Windows, and broader operating systems.
- Familiarity with built-in OS monitoring and performance tools.
- Experience using service management tools such as ServiceNow and ITSM platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving incidents efficiently.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and coordinate with various stakeholders.
- Quick learner with the ability to understand new application frameworks rapidly.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration across geographically dispersed teams.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to delivering results within deadlines.
Publishing Pay Range: $53.19 – $55.83 hourly
This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
