We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IIS Modernization & Platform Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will lead initiatives to assess, design, and implement scalable, secure, and modernized IIS hosting architectures that support both legacy and cutting-edge workloads.

What You'll Do:

  • Evaluate existing IIS-hosted applications and develop strategic modernization roadmaps.
  • Design and deploy resilient, secure IIS environments, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards.
  • Modernize legacy .NET applications and inform migration pathways.
  • Create and enforce enterprise IIS security policies and operational best practices.
  • Develop automation solutions utilizing PowerShell, Infrastructure-as-Code, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Support Windows Server 2025 migration projects.
  • Engineer hosting architectures optimized for VMware ESXi and AWS EC2 platforms.
  • Analyze system performance, security, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead efforts around SSL/TLS security and certificate management.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and cloud teams to implement best practices.
  • Produce technical documentation, standards, and operational frameworks.

About You:

  • Extensive experience in managing and designing large-scale Microsoft IIS environments.
  • Proven success in modernizing and replatforming enterprise web hosting platforms.
  • Strong background in evaluation of legacy applications for modernization.
  • Expertise in PowerShell scripting, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server architecture and migration strategies (including Windows Server 2025).
  • Deep understanding of application security best practices.
  • Experience working within VMware and AWS cloud environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Publishing Pay Range: $50.00 – $60.00 hourly

This is a fully remote role and can be performed from any approved location within the United States.
