Role Summary
This contract Land Analyst position involves managing and verifying land-related documentation within pipeline systems. Reporting to the Land Manager, the role encompasses data entry, document verification, and spatial data integration using GIS technology. It requires attention to detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information in a structured environment.
Responsibilities
- Review alignment maps to accurately identify pipeline assets and surface ownership or grantor information.
- Categorize, organize, and file land documentation in accordance with alignment maps, establishing links between digital documents and GIS parcels.
- Verify and update land database details, including Grantor/Grantee information, property descriptions, affected assets, and land legal descriptions.
- Plot legal descriptions using deed plotting software and identify corresponding locations on alignment sheets and GIS data.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of data entered into land management systems.
- Review physical alignment sheets and support documentation when necessary for data verification purposes.
- Maintain and audit land records to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Support other duties related to land data management as assigned.
- Collaborate with the land team to interpret legal land descriptions and associated mapping data.
- Use GIS and mapping tools such as Google Earth and ESRI products for spatial analysis and documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in land records administration, pipeline systems management, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of land legal descriptions, plats, alignment sheets, and mapping concepts.
- Knowledge of land agreements including easements, deeds, permits, and rights of way.
- Basic land title experience required.
- Proficiency in Quorum data products; experience with On Demand Land preferred.
- Skilled in GIS software, especially ESRI products, and Google Earth.
- Advanced competency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work onsite consistently for the duration of the contract.
Publishing Pay Range: $46.00 – $47.00 hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
