Role Summary
This Senior Project Manager position requires an experienced professional to oversee and deliver large-scale IT and business projects within the oil and gas industry. The role involves managing multiple complex projects, leading diverse teams, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical acumen, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to project leadership at a strategic level.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of multiple large-scale IT and business projects to ensure successful delivery
  • Lead project planning, execution, testing, and delivery, ensuring adherence to established project management methodologies
  • Build, develop, and coordinate cross-functional project teams, vendors, and consultants
  • Define project scope, develop detailed schedules, and gather comprehensive requirements in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Establish project roles and responsibilities, monitor progress, and hold team members accountable for their tasks
  • Develop and communicate project status, issues, and risk reports to stakeholders and leadership on a regular basis
  • Facilitate project meetings, document action items, and manage issues log to track resolution and follow-up
  • Identify, monitor, and escalate risks and dependencies, responding promptly to stakeholder concerns and escalations
  • Adapt project plans and methodologies based on new information and lessons learned to foster continuous improvement
  • Promote positive stakeholder relationships and ensure project alignment with organizational objectives

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of project management experience in an enterprise environment, specifically within the oil and gas industry
  • Proven experience managing large, complex IT or business projects with diverse teams
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, Scrum, or equivalent are preferred
  • Strong technical acumen, including experience in structured Project Management, Value Management, or Strategic Management offices
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to engage stakeholders across all organizational levels
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and demonstrate effective problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with the Project Life Cycle process and organizational project management methodologies
  • Availability to work remotely from an approved location
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Publishing Pay Range: $60.00 – $70.00 hourly

This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
