Role Summary
This role involves managing the comprehensive logistics and supply chain operations for international shipments, inventory control, procurement, and customs compliance. The position is suited for a senior professional with extensive experience in logistics, particularly within industrial, oil & gas, or industrial services sectors. Responsibilities include coordinating inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring regulatory adherence, and optimizing inventory and transportation costs to support operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the movement and transportation of tools, equipment, and inventory between service centers and customer locations.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics operations, including transportation planning and inventory management.
  • Optimize logistics processes to reduce inventory carrying costs and transportation expenses.
  • Manage reverse logistics activities, including asset returns and inventory disposition.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Administer international movement of goods, ensuring compliance with local, U.S., and international customs regulations.
  • Prepare and review import/export documentation such as customs declarations, commercial invoices, and bills of lading.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between customs authorities, freight forwarders, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Source materials and services, manage vendor relationships, and implement procurement process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, service, purchasing, and logistics to meet operational goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred; high school diploma with relevant experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or planning, with a focus on inventory management.
  • At least 5 years of experience coordinating international shipping and import/export operations.
  • Experience in pipeline, oil & gas, or industrial services industries preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics, inventory control, procurement, and customs compliance.
  • Valid Mexican Customs Broker License (Patente Aduanal) required, with expertise in Mexican customs regulations.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, database management, and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize in demanding environments.
  • Willing to respond to urgent after-hours and weekend needs via company cell phone.

Publishing Pay Range: $100,000 – $110,000 annually
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between office and remote work.
